MANILA, Philippines — Davao 1st District Rep. Paolo Dutertedared the infrastructure committee at the House of Representatives to show proof of alleged ghost flood control projects, saying taxpayers deserve real roads and bridges—not paper schemes and political scapegoating.
He warned lawmakers against twisting the issue to pin blame on his family.
“If it is true that these are ghost projects, let us show it to the public. That is our money. That is the money of every Filipino. That is the money of the Davaoeño. Do not twist the story and pin it on our family just to cover up your own dirt,” Duterte said in his statement on Wednesday.
The Davao representative stressed that the issue was not only about Davao but about Filipinos nationwide., This news data comes from:http://gangzhifhm.com
Duterte's son dares House to show ghost projects instead of targeting family

“We are taxpayers too. Not only Luzon, not only Metro Manila pay taxes. Our money is part of the same national budget. We deserve the truth about these so-called flood control projects that are not only happening in Luzon but in some other parts of the country as well,” he said.
He added that if the committee’s work was merely to ruin his family’s name, it should stop wasting public funds.
“The people deserve the truth. But if it is another effort to ruin our family, file the cases and spare the taxpayers’ money from this circus,” Duterte said.
In a statement a day earlier, Duterte also accused the panel of using his family as a diversion from larger anomalies in the budget.
“What kind of hearing is this?... The corruption is right in front of you, but you still target the Dutertes. What’s wrong with this InfraComm? Our family is being made a scapegoat again for your corruption,” he said on Tuesday.
